There is no longer any DFE definitive recommendation as to required teaching hours in England for KS1 and 2. If we take the Welsh requirements as a benchmark we are allowing approximately 10% more teaching hours, in fewer (185) pupil days. This means our teachers can have a higher number of in service training days (10).
