SIAMS

“We strive to nurture a community where every child feels supported, valued and inspired to reach their full potential. Through faith, we encourage trust and resilience; through hope, we foster aspiration and perseverance, and through love we build a compassionate and inclusive environment where everyone belongs”

The theological basis of our vision is rooted in our belief that we are called to prioritise love in our relationships and actions. While faith and hope are indispensable, love is the most authentic witness of God’s work in a person’s life and the most enduring legacy of the Christian journey. Our Vision is at the heart of everything we do: our decisions, our strategic priorities, our policies and our relationships.

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

All church schools are SIAMS inspected. The inspections focus on aspects of the school which make it distinctive as a church school, and will occur within a five year period.

The overall purpose of this SIAMS inspection (also known as Section 48) is to answer the question: ‘How distinctive and effective is the school as a church school?‘

The inspection and ensuing report comment on and grade four key questions:

  • How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners?
  • What is the impact of collective worship on the school community?
  • How effective is religious education?
  • How effective are the leadership and management of the school, as a church school?
