The quality of teaching and the achievement of the children at St Mary's are very important. We have the highest standards and strive to meet them.
Schools that have been open longer than ours have accumulated data that can show the progress that children have made. Since we have only been open from September 2013 our data is limited. However we pay attention to it as it is recorded. Our teachers' assessments are moderated by external advisers so that we are confident that the correct judgements have been made. A School Improvement Partner has evaluated the achievements of our first year group. He said 'Standards are above the nation average with 79% of pupils achieving a good level of development - this represents good progress.'
